ANDY
BOOTH

Visitors to thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk Player of the Season

The man they call the legend has taken the visitors to thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk award with a massive 40% of the vote. Booth (32) finished the season top scorer for Huddersfield Town with 15 goals, 13 of those coming in the league.

One of the greatest players in modern Huddersfield Town era the goals he scored almost put Town on the verge of the Championship. Born and bred in Huddersfield he is rightly adored by Town fans young and old. He has been a revelation for the club since his return in 2001.

During his two Town spells he has played 324 times with a further 31 from the bench in all competitions, scoring 125 goals. Booth scored his 100th league goal in October 2005.

On 125 Town goals he is just one goal behind another Town legend Billy Smith's total of 126 and just 34 from the 159 goals of George Brown - the Town record.

This league appearances of 172 starts with a further 29 from the bench puts Booth within the top 40 of leading league appearances. His total appearances for Town puts him in 13th position in the all time leading appearances.

He came through the Terriers ranks seen two promotions and loves the club, Andy Booth justifiably takes this season's visitors to thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk Player of the Season award.

The website has also given Booth our Player of the season vote also.

Andy Booth
(Player of the Season)
A living legend, a player who has passionately worn the colours of Huddersfield Town in both spells with the club.

Despite being the wrong side of 30, Booth has never waived in his spirit or his ability and there are few players in the lower leagues that can touch his heading ability.

Tom Clarke
(Young Player of The Season)
Despite still having a lot to learn Tom Clarke is tipped for higher things. At only 17 years old, Clarke junior is one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Huddersfield Town Academy.

He has played 12 times this season and made 28 appearances for Town since he made his debut in February 2004. He will be pushing for a regular place next season in the Town defence and will use his experience of playing for England Under 18's with good effect.

One thing he will need to work on will be his discipline. This season he has been booked twice and sent off twice.
