Latest match Video Highlights - Stockport County (home)

View the match highlights from the BBC of Saturday's difficult 0-0 Galpharm draw with Stockport County. A match of few real chances saw Town twice hit the bar, but County could have stole the points with some late pressure.

Town's unbeaten spell at home against Stockport continues. Town just could not find a way past a well organised and resilient defence and for the second home 0-0 tie on the bounce and the once free-scoring Terriers have scored just once in the last three matches.

For County it was their first clean sheet since the opening round of matches in August.

Walsall (Away) | League One | Tuesday September 29 2009

TICKETS AVAILABLE TONIGHT - 29th - PAY ON THE GATE. PRICES INCREASE BY £2 ACROSS ALL TICKET TYPES

After this afternoon's disappointing home draw and the somewhat embarrassing defeat in the last away match Lee Clark will be hoping to arrest the poor away form in the next away match - a week Tuesday at the Banks's Stadium to face Chris Hutching's side.

The cost of admission that is on general sale is as follows:

Adults - £18
Concessions - £12 (over 60s & under 18s)

Disabled Admission - £18 adults, concessions at £12, carer admitted to the stadium free of charge.

The Saddlers moved into the Bescott Stadium in 1990 replacing the former ground Fellows Park. It is currently called the Banks's Stadium following a sponsorship deal with a local brewery company (Marstons), and has a capacity of 11,300.

Visiting supporters are housed in the 2,000 all seater Homeserve Stand which is opposite the developed Floors 2 Go end (opened in 2003), which dwarfs the rest of the stadium. Prior to this the stadium was very much in the mould of a early 1990's new build football stadium in England. Huddersfield Town changed this thinking with their futuristic new stadium in the mid 1990's.

Former Huddersfield Town winger Malvin Kamara has joined Blue Square Premier side Barrow following his summer release from Town. Kamara started Barrow's match at Salisbury this afternoon but could not prevent the North West side from losing 3-0.

Second string defeat Bantams!

The Town Reserves continued their recent winning ways against their Bradford City counter-parts by handing the Bantams their fourth defeat of the season and got the Terriers back to winning ways.

In an interesting match played at the Coral Windows Stadium Town ran out 3-2 winners. Town twice got pegged back from a leading position but an own goal settled matters on 67 minutes.

James Berrett gave the dominating Terriers the lead on 21 minutes. City midfielder Michael Boulding brought the Bantams level just before the end of the first period. Berrett again gave Town the lead following good play from the impressive Jack Hunt on 50 minutes.

The home side were behind for just 11 minutes when Rory Boulding got his side level. But within minutes Town were back in the lead thanks to City striker Tomi Ameobi's strike into his own net! Good pressure from a Lionel Ainsworth free kick saw pressure from Lee Novak force Ameobi into the error.

That proved to be the final goals in another Terriers high scoring affair and Town got their campaign back to winning ways. Its now two wins from the opening three goals, with the success at Coral Windows Stadium adding to the 4-0 victory at Lincoln City. The only blot on the copybook thus far was the home loss last week (2-4) at the hands of Newcastle United.

Meanwhile the Under 18's recorded a 7-4 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their recent match.

Popular Theo up for award!

Summer signing Theo Robinson who has not taken long to find the goal or popularity with the Town faithful is up for the PFA Player of the Month award for August and September. Robinson whose lightning pace as caused havoc to opposition defences so far this term has scored seven goals in none appearances.

Charlton Athletic (Away) | League One | Saturday October 17 2009

There are not many tougher away trips on the agenda than a visit to The Valley the home of former Premier League side Charlton Athletic. Managed by Phil Parkinson (yes him!) the Addicks are expected to perform very well at League One level and they are currently proving that theory right siting second in the table.

The good start to the season from the Londoners has been boosted by a £7 million investment from a number of their Directors. The aim of Athletic and their board is a return to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Certainly not one of the cheapest grounds to visit perhaps some in administration at Charlton believe they are still playing in top-flight football!

The cost of admission that go general sale from tomorrow (Wednesday September 23) is as follows:

Adults - £25
Over 60's - £17
18-21 Year Olds - £17
Under 18s - £5

Disabled Admission - £17, carer admitted to the stadium free of charge.
Wheelchair Admission - £17, carer admitted to the stadium free of charge.

The programme will cost you £3.00.

The Valley is one of the largest stadiums in League One, indeed in England outside of the Premiership and since it was opened 90 years ago has transformed beyond all recognition. The official capacity is 27,111, with the recent piece of development completed in 2002.

The mid 1990's saw a once derelict stadium, begin the transformation to how it stands, and it is a proud stadium for the Charlton Athletic fans to call "home". The Addicks returned to the Valley after spending 10 years in exile in 1992. They ground shared with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park for many years.

The South Stand of the Valley is where visiting supporters are housed. The Jimmy Seed Stand as it is called can accommodate 3,000 travelling supporters, so making it one of the biggest stadiums for away following in League One. The away stand is the only one not 'connected' to the other stands and the only one with a supporting pillar which is centre positioned!

Surely the South Stand is the next redevelopment on the agenda as it remains pretty much like it was back in the 1990's.

Reserves at Bradford City tonight!

The Terriers reserves marshalled by Paul Stephenson make the short journey to the Coral Windows Stadium intent on getting back to winning ways following the 2-4 defeat at the hands on Newcastle United at the Galpharm Stadium last Tuesday evening.

The Terriers completed the double over Bradford City last season winning on Bradford soil 4-0. On that February evening a Keigan Parker hat-trick and another from full back Joe Skarz completed the double. Town had won at Emley 3-1 in October 2008 with Luke Beckett grabbing an hat-trick.

Town are currently in sixth place in the division with Bradford City rock bottom having lost all their opening three matches. The Terriers had a trial to former Northern Ireland Under-21 central defender Mark McChrystal at City tonight, providing the paperwork is completed in time. The player is a free agent having left his former club Derry City.

City lost 4-1 (at home) to Hartlepool United, a week earlier they went down 1-0 at Newcastle United. The Bantams also lost to the same 1-0 scoreline in their opening match of the totesport.com League East at Lincoln City.

For Town they lost last Tuesday night, but in their opening match at Lincoln City they won 4-0. Robbie Simpson, Lee Novak, Robbie Williams and Lionel Ainsworth all made the score-sheet as the Terriers ran out 4-0 winners at Sincil Bank.

Admission is free tonight at Valley Parade with match kick off at 19:00 hours.

Town condemned to reserve defeat by two late goals

Despite Huddersfield Town twice taking the lead at home in their second totesports.com East League Division clash with Newcastle United, two late goals condemned the weary Terriers to a 4-2 defeat. Town battled hard with Robbie Simpson, Jim Goodwin who captained the Town and Jack Hunt excellent throughout against a United side whose quality in offence finally put the spirited Terriers to the sword.

Robbie Simpson twice put Town ahead with two excellent strikes. But as with the first team the reserves also seem to struggle in defensive play especially of that against pacey attack play and Matthew Glennon was beaten four times. To be fair, three were poor defending but in essence Newcastle were good value for their victory.

There was a few travelling Toon Army in a crowd of 344 at the Galpharm Stadium.

Town's team: Matthew Glennon, Liam Ridehalgh, Leigh Franks, Spencer Harris, James Berrett, Robbie Williams (73, Aiden Chippendale), Jim Goodwin (c), Michael Collins, Jack Hunt (71, Ryan Watson), James Spencer, Robbie Simpson. Unused Subs: Lloyd Allinson, Adam Field, Lewis Nightingale.

We brought you up to the minute score from our Twitter page, as well as in action photos ...

Wycombe (home) match change of kick-off

Huddersfield Town will be screened live on SKY TV on Saturday November 14th when Wycombe Wanderers are the visitors to the Galpharm Stadium. The satellite broadcaster has chosen free scoring Terriers for the first time since an away match at the Keepmoat Stadium in October 2007.

The TV deal does bring with it a change of kick-off time with Town now facing a 12:05 start time against Wanderers.

The last time TV cameras broadcasted a live home match for Huddersfield was the play-off semi-final second leg defeat to South Yorkshire side Barnsley in May 2006.

CEO Nigel Clibbens told the official website that he is already looking at ways to ensure there is a bumper crowd to welcome SKY TV and ensure a wonderful atmosphere. He wants to use the TV coverage to further enhance and promote the reputation of the football club and this fixture will enable the Terriers to do this to a national television audience.
