It is in landscape format so to view correctly you may need to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise. - Town badge returns to 'entrance' page! We brought to you a change to the Entrance Page of the Town Micro-section on thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk on June 10 in which we introduced the Terrier on a blue and white striped background animation removing the traditional crest of the club. After feedback, we have decided to return to using the proud crest of the football club and removed the animation. The Terrier graphic will remain in place on the title banner of every page within the Town section and will retain the wording "Town Terriers" underneath. Should you wish to view the Terrier animation you can do so by clicking here. Thanks for the feedback we hope you continue to enjoy the thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk experience as we follow the 're-birth' of Huddersfield Town in 08/09 season and beyond. - |

New physiotherapist in Town! Stan Ternent has continued the development of his back room staff by acquiring the services of Ian Liversedge. The physio will rejoin Ternent from League Two side Accrington Stanley having being part of the medical team of Ternent whilst the Town manager was boss at Burnley. Liversedge will replace former Town goalkeeper Lee Martin who was released last month by the Terriers. - Scunthorpe United (away) changed The fixtures are just three days old and already they have seen a change. Scunthorpe United originally planned for Saturday April 11th at Glanford Park will now be played on the Friday with a 19:45 kick-off. - Away kit launch is just under 24 hours away! Town fans who are season ticket holders and eager to find out what the new away kit looks like can take their golden ticket (note the colour - the away kit is expected to be gold with black trim) which was sent via Royal Mail to some season ticket holders and attend the VIP launch between 17:00 - 20:00 at the stadium superstore. Various first team players will be available for photos and autographs and any season ticket holder who has yet to receive their golden ticket should contact the club on 01484 484144. The new shirt is exclusively available to purchase at this event tomorrow, before going on sale on Friday - so be one of the first to see and own the 08/09 away shirt of Huddersfield Town. This shirt was originally planned to be launched at the pre-season match with Arsenal (get your tickets here) but due to availability within technical partner Mitre's manufacturing process (as announced on this site on May 5th) the club mutually agreed to bring the launch forward and with it bring this 'red carpet' event for season ticket holders - perhaps not realising how popular the Centenary pricing offer would actually turn out to be (selling 16,123 season tickets). When available we will endeavour to show photos of the new away shirt on this website, as we have done with the first team kit and goalkeeper kit. The first team strip is available on pre-order with it's release next month. Pre-order forms are available via the official website - or the link to the PDF is here. So you have the season ticket, you have the anticipation now get the shirts to add to your collection of Town shirts and memorable through the year. When you think with your £100 season ticket that as seen you pay just £4.50 a match - so complete the set with your programme. 6,000 tickets sold for the pre-season match with Arsenal this August For more on this story and for details of what you need to do to purchase match day tickets or a match day package click here. - Season Ticket Deal extended as Town fans buy up tickets The promotion on the season ticket deal will recommence tomorrow (Monday June 2) until Friday Jun 6 at 17:00 hours when the centenary deal must end. After an explosive take up chairman-elect Dean Hoyle decided to extend the offer for a further five days giving supporters extra time to purchase their deal of the century. But once this deadline as gone, that is it. Town are supporting this week extension with a TV ad campaign, and many supporters are teaming up to bring the less fortunate into the club next season by purchasing season tickets for those groups to use. For more on this story click here. - Legends on thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk The latest Legends is now available on thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk. The latest one was assistant manager to Mick Buxton during some of the greatest times in the history of Huddersfield Town Football Club. Who is he? Click here to find out. - Beckett to become latest Bantam? Luke Beckett opened up talks with League Two side Bradford City last month before leaving on holiday, but the rumours are that City have now captured the Town striker who will sign for the Bantams on a one year deal. Beckett had a year of his Huddersfield contract to run. He has the option of extending it for a year on its conclusion. Beckett if he does sign for the Bradford will become their second player in recent days to sign from Town joining released midfielder Chris Brandon on the books at Valley Parade. Beckett will add firepower to Bradford's offensive line with Bradford City's board targeting promotion from Stuart McCall next season. With Huddersfield Town having recently signed pacey striker Keigan Parker it always looked like the 31 year old would be leaving the club having being given permission by the Terriers to talk to Bradford. Check back later to see if Beckett joins Brandon at Bradford City and swaps the blue and white stripes for those of claret and amber. - Record breaking month!
