Reserves beaten! After the 5-0 drubbing in their first match, Huddersfield Town reserves came back down to earth this afternoon with a 3-0 defeat in East Yorkshire against Hull City. A Kevin Ellison hat-trick won it for City with goals on 15 (penalty), 57 and 63 minutes Proud day for Jacko - but keep it in perspective! Town's excellent but measured start to the season which as seen them go top of League One has left manager Peter Jackson feeling proud but insisted that his players, himself and the supporters must not get carried away. Top after six games is excellent news for a club that nearly went out of business a few years ago - top after 45 games, then everyone can get excited. Town with 4 wins a draw in their last five matches following the opening defeat at Nottingham Forest as left many associated with the club delighted and the players cannot wait to play their next game. Jackson admits that his young team are getting stronger with each game |

"Impressed" by Town says Swans boss Peter Jackson has called for consistency from his Terriers side and produce the same level of football throughout the campaign as that shown in the first three matches - form that see's Town in third place. With two wins from three Jackson, who has been criticised for his manner from a Swansea website following the Town/Swansea game at the weekend is aiming to extend on the compliments Town has already got this season. City boss Kenny Jackett was impressed by Town and hope to emulate the success Town has had since promotion two seasons ago |

Huddersfield Town 3-1 Swansea City, League One, August 13, 2005 The Terriers followed up Tuesday evening's victory at the Galpharm Stadium with an impressive 3-1 victory over Swansea City in a bad tempered match. The game which produced four goals also produced seven yellow cards and a further two red cards. Two Swansea City players saw red after altercations with Town players, and Town ran out in the end easy winners. Andy Booth began the scoring with a brave header on 27 minutes, Lee Trundle equalised from the sport 5 minutes later before Pawel Abbott's lovely drive put Town two-one up four minutes before half-time. As Swansea players lost their heads, Danny Schofield put Town further in command as he scored from 20 yards out Huddersfield Town v Swansea City, League One, August 13, 2005 Regretfully the latest round of League One Matches which involves Huddersfield Town's home game with Swansea City will not be feature on thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk. Big Brother 2005 THE FINAL Anthony wins BB 2005 Anthony has beaten Eugene in the final to win the £50,000 prize fund and be called "Winner of Big Brother 2005". Anthony took the victory with 57% of the votes. Anthony from the North East could barely believe it that after 78 days in the house he was the winner. For each day Anthony has spent in the house he has now received winnings that effectively mean that he has earned over £6,400 a day, but Eugene is also a winning claiming half of the original prize fund - and he must feel delighted that he had done so, or Anthony would have now been looking at £200,000! Makois came third, and she looked shocked as she left the house. She was greeted with numerous boo's as she exclaimed "I was the last woman in the house". That she was but with just 9% of the vote, she came third. The lively Kinga came fourth as she had just 3.8% of the public vote The route in which housemates came out of the Big Brother house Mary (1), Lesley (2), Sam (3), Roberto (4), Saskia (5), Maxwell (6), Vanessa (7), Science (8), Kemal (9), Who will win Big Brother 2005? There are now just a few hours left until the winner is announced of this year's Big Brother. Anthony and Eugene are favourites to win the £50,000 prize fund, although Makosi and Kinga will be doing all they can to get some late votes. Eugene is now the bookmakers favourite to win, and having already scooped £50,000 is tipped to get the additional £50,000 - what will the nerdy radio fanatic think when he learns that if he had left the prize fund alone the other night the winning fund would have been £200,000? Anthony is evens, whilst female duo Makosi and Kinga are well out of it. There is also 4/7 on getting the top three in the right order of Eugene, Anthony, Makosi. After 78 days of Big Brother - many of which were highly explosive, it as now come down to the final evening in which anything could happen. Anthony and Makosi are the only housemates to have sampled the entire 78 day experience with Eugene entering in week 6 and Kinga joined the show later after Irish hothead Orlaith had walked in week 10. They left one by one, and here is the list in which they left the Big Brother house: Mary (1), Lesley (2), Sam (3), Roberto (4), Saskia (5), Maxwell (6), Vanessa (7), Science (8), Kemal (9), Continue to vote for your favourite housemate by visiting the official website. Brentford go top of League One Brentford made it two wins out of two and top the League One table after defeating Chesterfield 3-1 at Saltergate. Sam Sodje gave the visitors the dream start on 14 minutes before Paul Hall equalised. But Isaiah Rankin added a quick brace of goals to ensure that it was the Bees night and went to the top of the table in style Big Brother 2005 Craig is out as Eugene sensationally scopes £50,000! There are now just four housemates left in the Big Brother house as Craig was the one with the least number of public votes (4.1%) to win Big Brother. On his exit he made an emotional return to his family. Housemates were surprised when at dinner the midweek eviction was announced. Anthony took the news badly, and was seen in the garden to be hurt by the news that Craig was on his way out of the house. He also had just 30 seconds to say goodbye to his housemates and he had to leave half of his dinner behind! But Big Brother had a surprise waiting for one of the remaining housemates. BB asked one of the housemates to come to the diary room. Eugene took the honour. In the diary room BB told the remaining housemates - Anthony, Kinga and Makosi, that if Eugene answered 'Yes' the prize fund would halve to £50,000 but answering 'no' the prize fund would double to £200,000 - Eugene did not know the question or the outcome The question was simple. BB placed £50,000 infront of him and asked Eugene would he like the money. He said yes and so he is now £50,000 better off. He also wanted to be evicted at that time, but BB told him that he remains in the house. The winner (and that can still be Eugene) will now win the prize fund of £50,000. It is a sensational twist to 2005 series, but is that the final one until the final Friday? Or will BB have some more 'twist's' up his sleeve. With viewers voting for the housemate they wish to see win the show and the £100,000 prize fund, it will be the housemate with the fewest votes that says their goodbyes this evening. Match Report: Nottingham Forest 2-1 Huddersfield Town RESULT: Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Town -click here now! Team News: Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Town Derek ninth person to leave the BB House There was tears from Eugene as Derek - the bookies favourite to be evicted - was evicted on Friday evening. Both Derek and Eugene, who will now face Makosi, Anthony, Kinga and Craig in the final week final built up a friendship within the house which left mutterings about it from other housemates. Derek who left following mounting tension in the house, said that he was expecting it, and now hopes that Eugene wins the 2005 series. Eugene who was clearly very emotion and highly distressed spoke to Big Brother in the diary room to speak of his friendship with Derek who he is going to "miss". Email bigbrother@thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk- Big Brother 2005 Kinga's actions with bottle of wine leads to viewer criticisms The newest housemate to the BB2005 House Kinga Karolczak took the show into deep embarrassment following her actions with the wine battle. Kinga who has just joined the show appeared to do sexual actions with the wine bottle prompting 83 people to contact the regulator with complaints. Ofcom the British regulator has stated that they received a number of complaints what they are now looking into, but Channel 4 said that there was a message relating to the scene which also went out post-watershed (9pm). The 20 year old joined the house after former contestant Orlaith McAllister walked out on the show having avoided last week's public eviction with Science. The scene which happened on Monday was aired on Channel 4 on Tuesday and Kinga is perhaps lucky that she is not up for eviction. The episode also disgusted her fellow housemates, and comes as the show ends next Friday with the final. Derek and Eugene are up for eviction this week. Terriers ask for more tickets The City Ground on Saturday is set to be packed by Town supporters with Town asking for more tickets. A another allocation is on the way (the third extension) with 3,120 tickets sold. It is set to be the biggest travelling Town support of many a season and will produce a magnificent atmosphere in the opening match of the season. The club has asked for an additional 300 tickets, with tickets available to Town supporters on Friday only. Tickets on Saturday are only available at the City Ground, but the advice is buy tickets in West Yorkshire and do not travel without one Blow for Terriers as Ahmed injured! Under Peter Jackson Town has never been too far away from injuries and this season does not look like been any different. Before a League One as been kicked, young midfielder Adnan Ahmed who will miss the start of the season at least. The Burnley born midfielder who broke into the first team ranks last season and is highly rated by Town has struggled to get over a niggling knee injury, and although he played the full match with Bradford Park Avenue on Monday night, Peter Jackson will not risk one of Town's many growing stars |

"Those Were The Days" 8: More exclusive memories on thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk Our Town team for the match at Nottingham Forest on Saturday Paul Rachubka; Nathan Clarke, Tom Clarke (or Martin McIntosh), David Mirfin; Andy Holdsworth, Mark Hudson, Jon Worthington, Chris Brandon, Danny Adams; Andy Booth, Pawel Abbott. Subs: Phil Senior, Tony Carss, Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Junior Mendes and John McAliskey Match Odds: Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Town The opening match odds for the August 6 fixture at the City Ground Big Brother 2005 Anthony and Craig try to make up again! After yet another night of arguing the simmering attraction between male housemates Craig and Anthony is still evident after the pair attempted to make up after a blazing row. Anthony apologised to Craig, but it was the Norfolk hairdresser who wanted to continue 'where it had gone through' analysing, something which Anthony was not interested in. But as the pair patched up their differences and watched Kinga with her wine bottle (enough said!), they then decided to compare housemates with super heroes. Craig as also told the man of his dreams Anthony that he will never argue with him again! After crying over Big Brother not giving her a hairdyer to dry her wig Makosi today has had a few choice words to say to Kinga after the wine bottle escapade. In a frank conversation with Craig - who found watching the event "amazing" the disgusted nurse called the actions of Kinga "appalling and a step too far". Craig is also concerned that Kinga who would love a fling in the Big Brother house is making advances towards 'his' Anthony. Although Makosi was quick to advice that Kinga has also tried it on with her. The pair also used their time together on the BB sofa's to comment about Derek and Eugene - both of whom face the public eviction this week What do you think? Pre-Season Result: Bradford Park Avenue 2-3 Huddersfield Town The Terriers ended pre-season on high with a 3-2 victory over Bradford Park Avenue. Town included many younger faces in the team but did include Lee Fowler, Adnan Ahmed, Tony Carss (who was captain for the night), Anthony Lloyd, Tom Clarke, Junior Mendes and John McAliskey who all have had first team experience but will perhaps not feature on Peter Jackson's first team sheet for Saturday. Once again Jackson was disappointed with the goals and continued his rhetoric that his side must cut out the silly goals - seems like this is a message which the players are not carrying those instructions, and lets just hope this is not a theme for the up and coming season. Although Jackson did concede that the club has had a good pre-season and fitness levels throughout all levels of the club is ready for the big kick-off at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. There was decent run outs for Junior Mendes who grabbed two goals and man of the match Tony Carss. The Terriers opened the scoring on 20 minutes when a pass by Fowler was met well by Mendes who slid through and blasted past Park Avenue 'keeper Richard Sidwell and in a relatively easy stroll during the first half Town failed to add to the scoreline. But the second came not long after half-time. A brilliant sweeping move including four Town players ended with Mendes finishing sweetly to add to his first. Lee Fowler was once again involved has he raided down the left. But with Town perhaps slacking off and Park Avenue engaging themselves a little more and following a couple of experienced substitutions, they got back into the game when replacement Wiel Nazah got the home side back into it. Town took their lead back to two goals when Tony Carss capped a fine performance with a trademark free-kick strike, and moments later could have put Town 4-1 up but misplaced an effort when in a good position. It was Park Avenue who had the last laugh bringing the final score to 3-2 in favour of the Terriers with a goal from new Park Avenue player Greg Challender on 80 minutes and the Terriers were made to work hard as the home side fought back well. It was a good contest between Town and the Unibond side but it was the Terriers who celebrated Yorkshire Day in style with the victory and the White Rose Trophy. Town named Jordan Yorath on the bench for the match. The attendance at the Horsfall Stadium was 408 New shirt out August 13 Many Town fans will be disappointed with the club after it announced that the new shirt for this season will not be available until the second Saturday in the season. Then it will only be the short-sleeved blue and white striped version with other shirts not available until September Huddersfield motto reintroduced The club has moved back to traditional times with the reintroduction of the former motto of the club. "Juvat Impigros Deus" was the motto on the club badge until the change in 1970 to the current one. Meaning "God defends the diligent" or "God helps he who helps himself" is an inscription many in the club fully justifies what the club is about these days Big Brother 2005 Latest nominations from the Big Brother house Eugene and Derek face Friday's public eviction after receiving the most votes. Kinga was successful in ensuring that at least one housemate did not vote for her - she infact received no votes, and thus was immune from the eviction anyway.
