Former Town goalkeeper Lee Martin is appointed physiotherapist and goalkeeper in a dual-role which excites the former Town player. Martin who is 34 will also register as a player, and so could be employed as an emergency goalkeeper if required. Former physio Alex Moreno leaves the McAlpine Stadium to launch a private venture with his wife |

Players are offered 25% of monies owed to them now, with the rest spread over several years but without liability to interest charges to the club. It covers 24 different players with a total of £1.4 million. Town manager Peter Jackson needs it sorting out if he is to sign new players. But the PFA still look likely to demand that 100% is paid immediately. Booth, Smith, Irons and Baldry are those that are owed the most money, and ironically only Booth remains with a playing contract at the club |

Town have been installed as joint second-favourites to win the Third Division next season (not bad going considering there is still the chance Town will not be taking to the field come August) at 10/1 behind Hull City who are 4/1 odds on. Macclesfield Town are the favourites to be relegated, with Bury a good outside bet at 14/1. For 'simple' promotion Town stand at 12/5 once again second just behind Hull City. A point to note that Yeovil feature highly in both segments. ....so who is your tip firstly for promotion and them for the Championship? If Town take to the field, can Peter Jackson launch them to glory, or will the Taylor-Tigers run riot with the league? - |
