Peter Jackson is looking at Doncaster Rovers a week on Saturday (at the McAlpine Stadium) to continue Town's festive winning ways. Following two wins from two Jackson is looking for a further three points against the league's second placed side. Following six festive points thus far, and although disappointed with both performance's at Darlington (1-0) and at home to Bury (1-0) which were unconvincing and lack fluidity, Jackson will be looking to the banker derby welcome to 2004 match to maintain the Terriers push for promotion. The Terriers defence will face a tough test against Rovers, but Jackson will be pleased the Boxing Day win at the Reynolds Arena finally broke the losing mentality of the black away kit of the club Come the match on Saturday, Town could have has many as five major players back in the reckoning. Nathan Clarke will return following suspension on Sunday. Danny Schofield, Tony Carss, David Mirfin and Ian Hughes are also in line to return. Definitely out though will be Paul Scott, who was injured during the victory at Darlington. Scott is likely to be out for at least 2 weeks with damaged ankle ligament Jackson has given credit to his players for battling hard, despite them admitting the performance against Bury on Sunday, infront of a decent home crowd, was awful. Jackson looked at the points in the bag before moaning of the two dire performances: "I am not making excuses for the way we played because it wasn't good…but we've got another six points on the board and we know we can play a lot better so it’s a good situation" commented Jackson following the double-header victories Manager Peter Jackson aims an improved performance from the players for the match with Doncaster Rovers. Rovers who are firing on all cylinders will be looking to bounce back following been knocked off the top of the division three table following a 1-3 defeat at Hull City Oxford United's manager Ian Atkins believes that 85 points should secure promotion. Town currently stand 9th in the table on 37 points, 1 point and 2 places behind Lincoln. Whilst Oxford are the form team of the division, winning four of their last five matches (the only draw coming at the McAlpine Stadium), gaining 13 points from 15 to sit proudly on top of the pile at the turn of the year with 51 points Huddersfield Town 1-0 Bury (result) - |

"Come and support your team" that is the message coming from Darlington today to all Town fans, following Darlington Chairman George Reynolds putting the club into Administration. Reynolds who this season moved Darlington to the state of the art Reynolds Arena, has seen on the field events put Darlo deep in the relegation zone, has put the club he has invested £5.5 million in into Administration following the Inland Revenue threat to wind-up the club With an impressive 27,000 capacity stadium, Darlington have still struggled and fans who have not always warmed to Chairman Reynolds have stayed away, with an average of just 5,000 that is not enough says Reynolds. Reynolds states that he cannot make the stadium pay and that the council are not supporting him enough to bring in other ventures to the facility on Neasham Road. Reynolds has pleaded with fans to support him (the last home match attracted 2,900) and Darlington Council will meet with administrators to discuss the club saying "It is very sad". Reynolds would like to use the stadium for concerts, markets and car boot sales - all rejected so far by the council which is under the leadership of John Williams The scan on midfielder Tony Carss knee revealed no damage to cartilage, but the midfield man will still be missing for a further two weeks 9 scouts from Premier League and First Division clubs saw Jon Stead score on Saturday during the 1-1 draw with Oxford United Oxford United manager Ian Atkins has stated how well Huddersfield Town play at home and if they can sort out the away form, they are sure to go places this season Lee Fowler will miss two matches for his red card on Saturday. He will miss the home game with Doncaster Rovers and the away match at Cambridge United both in January. Also missing from the Rovers game will be Paul Scott who picked up a yellow car (his fifth) in the draw with Oxford |

Darlington have given the Terriers 1,200 tickets for the East Stand for the Boxing Day match. Town supporters will also be able to pay on the day Oxford United manager Ian Atkins is to appeal over the red card given to United striker Julian Alsop during the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at the McAlpine Stadium. Atkins, has also cited the professionalism of Town defender Efe Sodje, for his actions during the dismissal of the player Peter Jackson, who was bitter and fuming with number 4 Lee Fowler, has handed Fowler the biggest punishment possible - 75% of his weekly wage. The midfield man who has just been given a permanent deal by Jackson was warned at half time about his tackling. Fowler's second yellow card on 90 minutes, for a stupid challenge was the second sending off of his short Town career Striker Fola Onibuje who is on-loan from Preston North End, has signed another month loan period at Town. The 19 year old who has played in two league matches, has impressed manager Peter Jackson enough during his stay Jon Worthington looks set to make a return to the Terriers playing squad for the Boxing Day clash. Worhtington, the midfielder, has responded well to an hernia operation and should be fit to face Darlington Darlington and Huddersfield have played each other 12 times, with 6 played at Darlington. Although it will be Town's first visit to the new home of the Quakers - the Reynolds Arena. The North East club, owned by charismatic chairman George Reynolds, moved to the Arena for the start of this season from former home Feethams. At Darlington there as been 6 matches with Town winning 2, a single draw and Darlington have secured 3 victories. The Terriers have a positive away goal difference by three. The last meeting in Darlington was in 1992 when Huddersfield defeated their host's 3-1. The last meeting was in the league cup at the McAlpine Stadium when Town beat Darlington 2-0. 3,810 people watch the game in which Simon Baldry and a own-goal won the match for Town - who lost in the next round to Burnley The last win for Darlington was 1-0 at Leeds Road, during the promotion winning season of 1979/1980 for Town. Although the Terriers did the league double over Darlington, Darlo beat Town in a FA Cup replay 1-0 at Huddersfield, following a 1-1 draw in the North East |

Town back to battling best by holding leaders Oxford United to a 1-1 draw at the McAlpine Stadium Home attendance's top the 100,000 mark following the 11th home game of the season, with an average just short of 9,500 Midfielder's John Thorrington and Jon Worthington have both returned to training in a boost to manager Peter Jackson, who will again have to reorganise his midfield in forthcoming games following the sending off of Lee Fowler Nathan Clarke will miss the game with Darlington at the Reynolds Arena due to suspension, but will only miss one game, not the feared three, following his sending off at Macclesfield Peter Jackson believes it is two points lost rather than a point gained, as Oxford United equalised following Jon Stead's opener had put a commanding Town side in the lead on Saturday The festive home games between Bury (December 28) and Doncaster Rovers (January 3rd) are pay on the gate for the Terriers. For Doncaster Rovers supporters the match is all ticket, and the club have stressed that seating for the home area's will be monitored during this game Peter Jackson was delighted with the news that excellent central defender Nathan Clarke has extended his contract with his home club for a further 12 months Tony Carss is due further fitness tests before the Boxing Day clash to ascertain if he will be ready for the game with Darlington Jon Stead took his tally of goals to 15 following his first half strike on Saturday Mixed opinions from Town fans regarding the latest red card. This time for Lee Fowler, who has now been sent off twice this season - Town have nine red cards in total If ever Town should get three point on their travels, it is at Darlington on Boxing Day. The Quakers have a home record to match Town's away form and in a big stadium which Darlington struggle to get 4,000 in regularly, the big open spaces and beautiful arena should spur Town on t three points |

Manager Peter Jackson is said to be hurt and surprised at the level and intensity of the criticism labelled at him and the players following the Terriers shameful 4-0 defeat on Saturday. With the result still resident in the minds of Terriers supporters, most have had some comment to make about the defeat with few finding any positives, no matter how biased they are towards the club they love. Jackson points at the disappointing comments made towards his management of the club and that some have asked for his removal has manager. Some fans believe that Jackson rules with his heart rather than his head and is incapable of making tactical decision's away from home - something that is evident in the statistics of the away form - and Jackson's lack of ideas to improve things First choice goalkeeper Ian Gray looks set to be out for another two months, with deputy 'keeper Phil Senior continuing in goal. Gray, who damaged his hand during the 1-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup first round, has found out that the finger he dislocated is not repairing as it should be and his specialist has suggested further time to aid Gray's full recovery Town have slashed admission prices for juniors on Saturday (Oxford United, the leaders are the visitors to the McAlpine Stadium) to just £1 to help swell the crowds and to help Town supporters save some last 'pennies' in preparation of the busy festive period Half-Season Tickets are now on sale at the club. Covering the final 12 league matches at home, they start with Bury on December 28th and start at just £150 for adults. You advised to contact the club for further details Get your tickets soon for the match at Darlington on Boxing Day is the message coming from the Reynolds Arena. If you purchase before the game (up to and including Christmas Eve) tickets for the match will be £12 for adults (a £2 saving on the match day price), £6 for students (a £1 saving) and over 60's are also priced at £6 - another £1 saving on the match day price Away supporters to the impressive new home of the Quakers is the East Stand (turnstiles 36-43) and the stadium is located on the main Neasham Road on the outskirts of the town Terrier Travel are running coaches to the Darlington away match. Leaving at 11:30 in the morning, prices for non-members is £10 and £8 for members - a great deal if you are still sporting a hangover from the Christmas Turkey! Midfielder Tony Carss may be still missing for the game at the weekend, whilst Ian Hughes, David Mirfin and John Thorrington are responding well. Striker Jon Newby however is still someway off making a return to training |

Reserves lose a second consecutive game at the McAlpine Stadium this afternoon losing 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday. The only goal of the game came in the 55th minute for Wednesday who played former Town player Craig Armstrong. A young Town side had chances, but like against Walsall failed to convert any of the chances. Three academy players made their reserves debut, all coming on in the second half. On-loan Fola Onibuje saw a header hit the inside of the post Dwayne Mattis played the full match for the Terriers returning from injury. Also playing the full game is central midfielder Chris Holland. Questions must be asked of Peter Jackson why he did not play Holland in the 4-0 debacle defeat on Saturday instead of Rob Edwards in midfield Town’s Team: Jacob Giles, Andy Holdsworth, Aaron Hardy, Chris Holland, Steve Yates, Martyn Booty, Tyrone Thompson (Joe Shaw 75), Dwayne Mattis, Fola Onibuje (Matthew Young 65), John McAliskey, Adnan Ahmed (James Hand 75), Subs not used: Tom Draper, Chris Evans Wednesday's Team: Poulter; Marsden, D.Smith, Wood, Lowe; Wilson, McMahon, Armstrong (Needham 60), Orlik (Mason 70); Curier, Owusu, Subs not used: Ogden, McAllister- Peter Jackson asked the question's of his squad after the defeat at Macclesfield, following what the manager called an embarrassing defeat. Jackson is said to have been angry with the players, and showed his displeasure in the performance after the game has he tore into the players. Jackson does not blame the referee for the sending off believing it was a just decision, and feels sorry for the mass support that has followed the Terriers this season away from home. Luckily for Town the festive period includes three out of the four matches at home, with only the banker bank holiday fixture away - at Darlington. The manger also refuses to blame the away black kit on the defeats, but, which will be a worry to Town fans he states that he cannot "put his finger on it" It as been announced that Nathan Clarke will miss three games. Starting at Darlington on Boxing Day and taking in the home games against Bury and the first league game of the new year - Doncaster Rovers at the McAlpine Over 80% of all Town supporters believe that the fee for striker Jon Stead should be upwards of £1million. This came following a poll on thehuddersfield.net Peter Jackson bemoans inconsistency has he is baffled over Town's shameful away performances John Askey the Macclesfield Town manager has turned down an offer made to him to take over the reigns full time at Moss Rose has "insulting" following his side's stylish 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town Ratings for the players on other Internet site and messages pasted on message boards and forums show Town fans disappointed both at the lack of form away from home and the tactics used by Peter Jackson. Town fans want to see Town been more positive away from home and Jackson adopt a 4-4-2 form rather than the 3-5-2 which is clearly not working for the Terriers. Some have even said that they will not travel to the Terriers next away fixture, when they face Darlington for Town's first ever visit to the Reynolds Arena on Boxing Day - a day when traditionally Town fans turn up in their numbers to the game |

Peter Jackson will ask some stern questions of his squad after his side was ripped apart during a 4-0 defeat by a rampant Macclesfield Town side. It was the biggest ever league win for Macclesfield, who quite easily could have won by more, as they impressed against a poor and tired looking Town side It must have felt like Christmas had come early and that Huddersfield Town players were all Santa Claus for Macclesfield, as the Terriers defence gifted goals to the Silkmen. The first following a darting run into the area, which the Town defenders failed to stop and allowed confusion to boil over in the penalty area. The second goal, the Macclesfield player went past Paul Scott like he was not there and the third, oh dear the third, just what was Nathan Clarke doing? Questions Jackson will need to ask after yet another hammering, which was on the cards once Macclesfield Town took the lead. Jackson looks void of ideas on tactics away from home, the Terriers look inept and incapable and even 'average' teams can get easy results against them. Toothless, lifeless and passionless are just three words to use for the away day performances of Huddersfield Town, and with 13 goals conceded in the last three away games and just one point, Town just have to improve. The consolidated away record so far this season is: Also Town have the worst defensive record away from home. They have conceded 27 goals, the other nearest team is Darlington who have conceded 23. Incidentally Town have scored more goals away from home than leaders Oxford United, who have scored just 13 away goals, but they have lost just once away from home (winning three) and conceded just 9 (Yet Jackson still feels it is attack where he needs to strengthen, statistics beg to differ with the manager). Sunderland 2-4 Huddersfield Town seems a long time ago now Oh, but at least we beat Harrogate Town (AWAY!) 3-0!! Huddersfield Town have still never won in the black 'away' kit in a competitive match. The only wins coming from away matches was when Town played in the famous blue and white stripes (Sunderland in the Carling Cup, and Southend United in the league) |

Up the minute statistics and league tables can now be found by clicking on the "Squad Details" page Macclesfield Town 4-0 Huddersfield Town (result): "Clarke's red card matches Town's red face!" If you felt that Town's away performances could not get any worse, today they just did! Another away defeat and another abject and disappointing performance from Peter Jackson's side. The Terriers was given a footballing lesson by John Askey's lowly placed Macclesfield in front of just 3,059 supporters (around 1,300 had made the trip from Huddersfield) in the compact Moss Rose Ground. Macclesfield commanded the game and deserved to win, and to make matters worse Town was reduced to 10-men when Nathan Clarke was sent off for a professional foul, the penalty was scored by the Silkmen. The home side was clinical and the attacking flair shown resulted in yet another away hammering for Town. At just one nil down at half-time, it had been all Macclesfield in the first half, and once Miles had scored Macc's second goal the result was never in doubt, as the home side raced to victory and score a late goal to add misery on a despondent looking Peter Jackson and Terry Yorath. A first visit to the Moss Rose ground the home of Macclesfield Town - not too sure Town will ever want to come back! Next week it's leaders Oxford United at the McAlpine Stadium, if Town show this performance they will get yet another hammering, and United will not be scared of coming at Town next week. Full Time: Macclesfield 3-0 Huddersfield Town Half Time: Macclesfield Town 1-0 Huddersfield Town |

Should Jon Stead make his expected near £1 million transfer from Huddersfield Town in January, manager Peter Jackson could make Cambridge United striker Dave Kitson, Scunthorope's on-loan Steven MacLean or Torquay United's David Graham new striking partner targets for Andy Booth Peter Jackson who is eyeing a scarce away three points on Saturday, has said that a win is a must for the Terriers. In a massive blow for Jackson hardworking midfielder Tony Carss will be missing, as will goalkeeper Ian Gray who is to undergo more treatment on his damaged hand. Three points are vital to take the Terriers into an important festive spell on the correct note. The festive spell which Town will be looking to gain ground on the leading teams includes three home games (Oxford, Bury and Doncaster - two of which are near the tope) and one away match - a first ever visit to Darlington's impressive new home the Reynolds Arena in a mouthwatering Boxing Day clash for the North East club Efe Sodje scored Macclesfield Town's first ever league goal and played alongside current manager of the Silkmen John Askey Jackson may have injury worries ahead of the Saturday match at the Moss Rose, but so too does home manager John Askey. Askey will be without the suspended Martin Carruthers and the injured trio of David Flitcroft, Rob Jones and Steve Macauley. Neil Robinson may return for Macc's, but he will face a fitness test following his recent return after injury |

Peter Jackson is confident that Nathan Clarke will sign the new deal - Jackson calls Clarke "A real asset" The bookmakers make the game at Moss Rose on Saturday even with both an home win or an away win at 6/4, as Town look to take advantage of the break to push for a play off place. Town phsyio Lee Martin was goalkeeper of the Macc's last season, whilst they have just sacked former Town assistant manager David Moss has manager. The away ends at Moss Rose (based in the Silkman Terrace, 1500 and Estate Road 627) have a total for over 2,000 Town fans in what is a compact ground. Macclesfield has won 4 of it's 20 league matches, and their recent form is one win (at home to Bury) two draws and an away defeat at Oxford United. Since the change of manager Macclesfield has been playing better football and it should be an interesting game in a game which Town has to get something out of it Macclesfield v Huddersfield, Match Preview (Macclesfield Express): Macclesfield Town boss John Askey is expected to make defensive changes ahead of his side's crucial clash with Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The Silkmen return to league action this weekend against the Terriers, and the Moss Rose boss said that he will be looking for a marked improvement on the performance which pinched a replay against Cambridge last Saturday. The Silkmen's defence, in particular, has come under close scrutiny this week - and with the impending return of recent signing Matt Carragher, Askey is ready to shuffle his pack to stifle the threat of 12-goal Terriers striker Jonathan Stead. Danny Adams, George Abbey, Karl Munroe and Michael Welch lined up against the Us in the cup - but Askey could look to bring in Steve Hitchen, who impressed as a second half substitute. Huddersfield come to Moss Rose with a poor away record which has seen them win only one game in 10 on their travels away from the McAlpine Stadium. But Askey has been in the hotseat long enough to know that nothing can be taken for granted. He said: "We need to be playing well if we want to climb the table. We have the players to do it, and I've said it before that we can beat any team in this division if we perform." Previously cup-tied Carragher and Dean Delaney, the on-loan keeper from Port Vale will be back in contention for a starting place, although it would be a surprise to see Delaney oust Steve Wilson from the number one spot this week. Neil Robinson started training again this week, but is not expected to be fully fit for at least three weeks. Steve Macauley, Rob Jones and David Flitcroft are still injured Tony Carss should be fit to face Macclesfield Town on Saturday and should return with a place on the bench 350 people attended the Christmas party of the Blue and White foundation, Wednesday night. The event which was a great success raised £400 for the Development Association. Tracey Nelson, the manager of the Blue and White Foundation was delighted with the success of the event Peter Jackson believes that Jon Stead will remain fully focused on Huddersfield Town's promotion push, despite the speculation surrounding his future and the January transfer window looming. It appears if the right figure came in form Stead, then the striker would leave the club, but Ken Davy has said the fee as to be right. Jackson believes the talk about Stead is "pure speculation" but the talk is mounting and gaining pace. Jackson is also "delighted" with the way Stead has handled all the pressure surrounding his future and all the talk about it |

Head-to-Head: Against Macclesfield Town The statistics for Town's next match are very easy to interpret, as they have never faced Macclesfield Town before. The game at Moss Rose Ground on Saturday will be the first ever Macclesfield-Huddersfield encounter and the Terriers first ever visit to the home of the Silkmen. The last match for Macclesfield was a home draw with Cambridge United in the FA Cup (1-1) and manager John Askey will be looking to improve on what he called a disappointing performance. Macc's also need the points to move away from the relegation zone, whilst the Terriers would be looking for all three points to improve a poor away form and strengthen a claim for a play-off zone position. It will also be a return to Moss Rose for Town defender Efe Sodje, who should replace the injured Ian Hughes in central defence. Radio station at Macclesfield is 106.9 Silk FM - who are in the same group as Home107.9FM - Huddersfield Town reserves lost 1-0 this afternoon at home to Walsall. Town went down to a fifth minute goal. Town looked lively, but failed to score in a game where Town got caught out by a long punt up field. The Town side: 1. Jacob Giles, 2. Martyn Booty, 3. Rob Edwards, 4. Chris Holland, 5. Steve Yates, 6. Efe Sodje, 7. Andy Holdsworth, 8. Tyrone Thompson, 9. Fola Onijube, 10. John McAliskey, 11. Adnan Ahmed. Subs: Joe Walsh, Tom Draper, Aaron Hardy, Matthew Young and Chris Evans Talks with impressive defender Nathan Clarke are ongoing, whose contract runs out at the end of the season. Clarke has impressed since returning from injury Goalkeeper Ian Gray should have his pot removed from the hand he damaged during the FA Cup defeat at Accrington Stanley. Jon Worthington is responding well to his hernia operation last week, whilst Rob Edwards, Steve Yates and midfielder Andy Holdsworth all played in Town's reserve defeat on Wednesday. However, midfielder Dwayne Mattis is now injured following training, he joins David Mirfin, Tony Carss, Ian Hughes and Jon Newby in the treatment room of the McAlpine Stadium Former Town left-back the highly popular Tom Cowan has joined division three strugglers Carlisle United Former Town manager Neil Warnock, who is now managing first division Sheffield United, is poised to make a bid for Andy Booth. It was big Andy Booth who scored the goals, that helped Town to play-off glory under the Warnock days at Town |

Efe Sodje will return to the starting line-up for Town against Macclesfield Town this Saturday following an injury to defender Ian Hughes. Steve Yates, has also been put on alert for the starting line-up position, but the Nigerian is poised to start Liverpool has become the latest club to be linked in the hunt for Town striker Jonathon Stead. However, it is only Sunderland who has made a concrete bid for the striker - which Town turn down - and the BlackCats first division rivals Nottingham Forest has also been linked with the player, as has Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers |

The future of Town's number nine - Jon Stead, looks in doubt once again, if you listen to Newspaper talk. A Sunday newspaper stated that Stead's progress is been checked by both Manchester United and Aresnal. Stead could also be a target for Sheffield United, whose manager Neil Warnock has stated that he is looking to add a proven goalscorer to his squad Academy Chief Gerry Murphy has been repaid for the stirling work he is doing producing the Town players of the future with a new contract, that will take the popular Murphy through to his retirement. Murphy joined Town in 1988, is one of the Terriers longest serving members of staff. Murphy was made full time in 1993 after previously joining on a part-time basis under George Mullhall According to HTAFC.com, managing Huddersfield Town "is the best thing ever" for Peter Jackson, who has asked all Town fans to "keep the faith". However, pointing to the away form, Jackson is not too sure how to turn that around "we seem to lack concentration and confidence", but Jackson reveals that Town are "working on it [improving the away form]" |

FA Youth Cup Third Round: Huddersfield Town 0-1 West Ham United (result) The Youth team slipped out of the FA Youth Cup following a 1-0 reverse at the hands of West Ham United, following an entertaining contest and thrilling display watched by over 500 supporters at an excited McAlpine Stadium. Town had the better of the match, but failed to find the net which the Londoners found in the 31st minute. Defensively Town look composed and in midfield posed threats to West Ham with James Hand impressive on the left. However it was a defeat for John Dungworth's young side, but they can be proud of their performance Following yesterday's positive end to contract talks between three players, the Town management have opened talks with defender Nathan Clarke. The reliable centre back is a favourite with Town fans following his introduction to the Town first team at 18. Jackson is delighted with the form of the centre back and keen to "look after him (Clarke), and despite been out of contract at the end of the season, and had several Premiership sides keeping tracks on him, Clarke who will be looking to repay the faith kept in him by Town when he was injured for long periods a few months ago, should sign a new contract Jackson is clearly optimistic, that a deal will be reached "by next weekend if not by the weekend |

The fruits of Gerry Murphy's Academy will be evident in the first team for years to come. Andy Holdsworth, Anthony Lloyd and David Mirfin have all been given new two-year contracts to come into effect at the end of the present season. A "very pleased" first team manager Peter Jackson said that all three "deserved it", in total the three named players have made 25 league starts this season Huddersfield Town juniors will play West Ham United juniors in the third round of the Youth FA Cup Town's Nigerian defender Efe Sodje, is not included in the Super Eagles African Nations Cup and so will not miss up to 10 league games for Town |

Practice Match: Huddersfield Town 2-3 Grimsby Town (result) On-load striker Fola Onibuje scored twice but Town still lost the practice match with Grimsby Town at Storthes Hall 2-3. Town at one point was 3-1 down. The visitors went a goal up from the penalty spot, after teenager Tom Draper had felled the advancing Grimsby player. On 55 minutes it was 2-0 to Grimsby Town, but within 3 minutes Onibuje got one back for the Terriers. Grimsby had, had a third before Onibuje scored his second of the game. Rob Edwards played a good game at left back and with other players coming through the testing work-out, the experience was well worth it. The Town 11: Tom Draper, Martyn Booty, Steve Yates, Efe Sodje, Robbie Edwards, Tyrone Thompson, Chris Holland, Dwayne Mattis (John McAliskey 60), Adnan Ahmed, Andy Holdsworth, Fola Onijube (Matthew Kerridge 80) Town will play Grimsby Town at the training centre, in a closed door practice match Jon Worthington will undergo a hernia operation today Town midfield man Jon Worthington signs a new contract that will keep him at the McAlpine until the 2005/2006 season Town duo Ian Hughes and Tony Carss are in the treatment room following knocks during Saturday's draw Cheltenham boss John Ward was delighted his team had kept a clean sheet and frustrated Terriers. "We dug in and worked hard and I think I will certainly be the happiest of the two managers," he said. "We knew their home record was outstanding so we came with a game plan to spoil and on another day we could have even nicked all three points." Manager Peter Jackson commented that Town cannot win every game at the McAlpine Stadium, following the 0-0 stalemate with Cheltenham Town - but Town twice struck the woodwork Peter Jackson gave praise to Cheltenham: "They made it difficult for us. I felt we ran out of ideas towards the end of the game" following the home draw |
