Click here to go back to the main Legends Page Paul Raynor Born: Nottingham, April 29, 1966 When this young man signed for Town in the mid-eighties he was not the best-known name but as befits the pedigree of a man who had learned at the feet of the Brian Clough he quickly established himself at Leeds Road. Having started out with home city club Nottingham Forest, Paul joined Town from Forst in the mid 1980's having spent a period at Bristol Rovers on loan. Paul had two very good years with the Terriers before he moved to Swansea City where he enjoyed five excellent years with the Welsh side and was nicknamed "Flicker". Indeed as Town started to struggle both on and off the field at one stage he was our most prominent player. One whom many in the press felt if he was to leave the club would totally fall apart such was his influence. Let hear what the Boston United assistant manager has to say about his time at Town. Paul Raynor is the latest 'Legend' to write exclusively for thisisthebarmyarmy.co.uk: What is your impression of Huddersfield Town now? What did you think on joining Town? Any regrets later in joining/leaving Town? Memories of Town Most memorable moment? Longest lasting Town memory? What do you think of the current state of soccer? Do you still follow the Town results or any other club or sports? Your best match in a Town shirt? And why? What do you think of the Town fans? Then & Now? What do you think the future holds for Town? What are you doing now? If you had one wish what would it be? ... and finally, anything else you would like to add ... Given our LDV cup defeat down at York Street earlier this season, Paul is in a better position than most to judge the Terriers so lets hope he his right and Town are going up. Cheers Paul and all the best to you and the Pilgrims. Read Paul's section on the Boston United website |
