"Those were the Days" - The official Town anthem
(To the tune of "Those were the Days" by Mary Hopkins, Midi version here)

Verse 1
Once upon there was an era
When we used to win a cup or two
Now I'm sure those days are returning
For the boys in stripes of white and blue

Chorus
Those were the days my friend, we
Thought they'd never end, we won the
League three times in a row, we won the
FA Cup and now we're going up, we are
The Town, oh yes we are the Town

Verse 2
Now the future looks a whole lot brighter
Than it did look for a year or two
Lets all sing this song at the McAlpine
And hope all our football dreams come true

Repeat the Chorus

Verse 3
We're all proud to say we come from Yorkshire
And we're Huddersfield Town through and through
Lets all sing this song like in the old days
When 67,000 dressed in blue

Repeat the Chorus again and again

Smile Awhile

There's a team that's dear to it's followers,
Their colours are bright blue and white,
They're a team of renown, they're the talk of the town,
And the game of Football is their delight.

All the while upon the field of play,
Thousands gladly (loudly) cheered them on their way,
Often you could hear them say,
Who can beat the Town today?

Then the bells shall ring so merrily,
Every goal shall (will) be a memory,
So Town play up and bring the cup,
Back to Huddersfield

Chorus
"Huddersfield," the best team in the land, the biggest thing in football since the football league began.
We'll follow them to hell and back, we'll answer every call.
We think they are the greatest team, that's ever kicked a ball.

Verse 1
About a mile from Huddersfield, down on the A62. There is a place we call Leeds Road I'd like to show to you.
It's there that all our heroes play, there's none can match their skill.
And we all know, no matter what there's none that ever will

Repeat the Chorus

Verse 2
We know that there are many teams with followers and fans, who said that we had had our day, but they don't understand.
That we've just been regaining strength and now are rest is done.
We'll show them how the game is played back in Division one

*
Rule the Terriers the Cowshed boys are we. We shall cheer our team to victory
*

Repeat the Chorus

Verse 3
So come on down to Huddersfield and watch the Terriers play. Come and shout, and chat and cheer you won't regret the day.
You came with us to watch the greatest team that's ever played, the greatest game of football
Since the first football was made

The south section of the Antich stand (nearest the away support) is known as the 'singing section'. This group of fans provides particularly vociferous support for the team. This section is sometimes 'all ticket' when the rest of the Antich stand is not. Get behind the players and learn the words to some of Town songs ... help to improve the match day experience at the Galpharm Stadium and do what you can to influence the result - BACK THE TOWN!
